A milestone for L’Hirondelle: the launch of our first francization cohort

On Monday, January 06, 2025, L’Hirondelle took a new step in its commitment to new arrivals by launching its very first francization cohort. This event marks the beginning of an ambitious project to support those embarking on their integration into Quebec.

The inauguration was attended by distinguished guests, including Ms Asma Hammouni, Director of Francization Operations in Quebec, and Ms Audrey Lavoie, Pedagogical Advisor, both representing the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI). Our directors, Jean-Luc Legros, Chairman of the Board, Manel Rekik, General Manager, and Hanifa Larfi, Director of Programs and Services, were also on hand to underline the importance of this initiative.

Francization focused on inclusion and learning

This francization program has been designed to meet the needs of newcomers by offering them an accessible and caring environment. It’s not just about learning a language, but also about discovering the basics of life in Quebec, its values and culture. In this way, each participant can lay the foundations for successful integration while benefiting from personalized support.
