We understand that adapting to a new healthcare system can be complex and sometimes confusing. That’s why our program is dedicated to reducing inequalities and alleviating the impact experienced by immigrants with complex health needs.
TAILORED INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT
Our dedicated caregiver works on several fronts to meet the needs of the vulnerable people she accompanies.
Our individual services include:
- Support for first appointments: We’re here to help you with your first consultations or to help you book appointments.
- Facilitating communication: We help improve communication between you and healthcare professionals.
- Referrals to specialized resources: Whether you need help with pregnancy, mental health or caregiver support, we can guide you to the right resources.
- Information on your rights and obligations: We help you understand your rights and obligations in terms of healthcare.

In addition to our one-on-one support, we offer group workshops on a variety of topics to help you learn more about Quebec’s healthcare system.

Intercultural twinning
Imagine arriving in a new country, with all its challenges and codes to discover. For many newcomers, a simple gesture of support, a sympathetic ear or practical advice can change everything. Intercultural twinning is a unique opportunity to forge links, exchange ideas and learn from each other. This program encourages encounters between cultures, fosters integration and enables new friendships to be made.
Are you a newcomer?
As a newcomer twin, you’ll be matched with someone who will help you better understand the local culture, expand your social network and practice French in a friendly setting.
Are you a Quebecker or have you lived in Quebec for more than 10 years?
Your experience, knowledge and humanity can transform a life.
By volunteering for our intercultural twinning program, you offer much more than support: you offer a bond, a friendship, a sense of belonging.

WHAT ACTIVITIES CAN WE DO TOGETHER?
During your pairing, you can :
- Share your experiences, culture and lifestyle.

- Share a convivial moment by cooking together or discovering new dishes.
- Take part in accessible outings: cafés, festivals, shows, or cultural visits.
- Offer practical support, such as accompanying the newcomer to the grocery store, explaining the transportation network or helping them find their way around.

A REWARDING COMMITMENT
Intercultural twinning is a six-month commitment, with a recommended frequency of one or two meetings per month. It’s an opportunity to build bridges between cultures, foster harmonious integration and create meaningful links that enrich our social fabric.

Social internship
Social internships go far beyond traditional volunteer work. It’s a voluntary commitment that enables participants to actively integrate into their host society while putting their talents and skills to good use in community organizations. This program is a unique opportunity to expand your network, better understand the dynamics of your new community and contribute to meaningful local initiatives.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
To participate, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Migration status: Permanent residents, temporary workers, foreign students, naturalized citizens
- Availability: Commitment to at least 3 hours a week, on a flexible schedule adapted to their preferences.
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Language: Sufficient command of French to communicate effectively.
COURSE OF THE COURSE
Before you begin, a one-on-one meeting with the community internship coordinator will help you define your objectives and choose an internship site that matches your skills and interests. Internships take place in partner community organizations, offering a stimulating and enriching environment.

Integration objective
The Objectif Intégration session, free of charge and spread over several days, is designed to help you adapt to Quebec society. It will give you a better understanding of Quebec’s democratic values, as expressed in the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, and how they apply to everyday life, particularly in the workplace.
SESSION CONTENT
The 24-hour session is structured around three main themes:
Understanding and adapting to Quebec’s diversity: explore Quebec’s cultural and social particularities.
The five keys to understanding Quebec: discover the fundamental principles that shape Quebec society.
Working in Quebec: familiarize yourself with the rules, cultural codes and laws that govern the workplace.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To participate, you must meet the following criteria:
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Residence: Living in Quebec.
- Immigration status: Eligible status (permanent resident, foreign student, temporary worker, etc.). See details on the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) website.
- Knowledge of French: Intermediate command of French (from level 4 of francization).
BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS
An official attestation of participation, essential for certain immigration procedures, including the CSQ application.
A one-time participation allowance of $230 for your full commitment to the session (see eligibility conditions on the MIFI website).

Looking for a job or internship, but don’t know where to start? Our program is designed to offer you comprehensive support tailored to your situation. Our employment advisors are there to guide you every step of the way, to maximize your chances of professional integration.
CUSTOMIZED SUPPORT
Personalized job search coaching is a service designed to help people integrating into the Quebec job market optimize their steps and obtain a position that matches their skills and aspirations. This type of support is based on individualized follow-up, with each candidate benefiting from advice tailored to his or her specific situation.
During this support, a specialized advisor or coach assesses the jobseeker’s needs and strengths. Depending on their profile, they can help them clarify their professional objectives, draw up an effective CV, prepare for interviews, or improve their online presence, particularly on platforms such as LinkedIn. This personalized follow-up also helps to develop self-confidence, stress management and motivation.
WORKSHOPS AND INFORMATION SESSIONS
To complement the job search process, job search workshops are offered on a regular basis. These group workshops address various crucial aspects of the job search:
- adaptation and diversification of CVs and cover letters
- group interview practice
- networking strategy
- day-to-day job search management.
They enable participants to exchange, share experiences and receive practical advice in a collaborative setting.
Our support also includes specific preparation for job applications, particularly at job fairs. These events provide an opportunity to meet recruiters directly, and it’s essential to be well prepared. Our advisors help candidates to refine their presentation, identify the most relevant companies and prepare their documents in a professional manner. They can also offer coaching to help manage the stress associated with these events.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Permanent resident or Canadian citizen under 5 years of age.
- Open work permit holder (PVT, temporary worker)
- Refugees are accepted (excluding asylum seekers)
- Foreign students with a post-graduation work permit
- You must reside on the island of Montreal.

Want to improve your French and gain confidence in your day-to-day exchanges? Join our French conversation club, a friendly place to practice the language and deepen your knowledge, whether face-to-face or virtual.
